The case against you is already being built.

Once police become involved, evidence is collected, statements are recorded and witnesses begin shaping the State's version of what happened.

Getting a defense attorney involved early gives your legal team more opportunity to investigate independently and preserve evidence before it disappears.

Attorneys who love to win

Criminal defense lawyers who prepare to fight.

A criminal accusation can put your freedom, career, reputation and future at risk. Liberty Law Group represents people facing serious criminal allegations throughout Nebraska and Iowa.

Their attorneys don't simply accept the police report as the complete story. They examine how the investigation was conducted, how evidence was collected, what witnesses actually said and whether the State can prove every required element of the charge.

When constitutional violations or weaknesses in the evidence exist, the firm uses pretrial motions, independent investigation, negotiation and trial preparation to attack the prosecution's case.

Where we look for weaknesses

Four places a criminal case can fall apart

Every case is different, but the prosecution still has to prove its case with admissible, reliable evidence.

1

The stop, search or arrest

Police do not have unlimited authority to stop you, search your vehicle or home, seize property or make an arrest. If law enforcement violated constitutional protections, the defense may be able to challenge the evidence that followed.

2

Statements & interrogations

What was said, when it was said and how police obtained the statement matters. The defense examines Miranda warnings, custodial questioning, requests for counsel and whether a statement was given voluntarily.

3

Witnesses & identification

Witnesses can be mistaken. Stories can change. Important details can be left out. We look at prior statements, motives, inconsistencies, identification procedures and evidence that contradicts the accusation.

4

Physical & digital evidence

Video, photographs, phone data, forensic evidence, medical records and physical evidence can strengthen a prosecution, or expose major gaps in it. The question isn't simply what evidence exists. It's whether that evidence actually proves what the State says it proves.

Recent Criminal Defense outcomes

A sample of results from real Liberty Law Group cases. Every case is different, and past results don't guarantee a future outcome.

  • Mulitple Assaults — Dismissed

    All Charges Dismissed Before Trial

A client was charged with multiple assaults after police arrested him following an altercation. Liberty Law Group attorney Eric Hagen independently examined the case and uncovered evidence supporting the client's claim that he had been misidentified.

The defense prepared the case for trial and challenged weaknesses in the original investigation. On the morning trial was scheduled to begin, the State dismissed all charges.

  • Criminal Mischief — Not Guilty

Jury Returns a Not Guilty Verdict

The case began as an attempted murder allegation before being amended to criminal mischief. At trial, attorney Seth Morris challenged the lack of evidence connecting the client to the alleged crime.

There was no digital evidence, photography, surveillance footage, fingerprint evidence or DNA placing the client at the scene. After deliberation, the jury returned a Not Guilty verdict.

  • Felony Theft — Dismissed

Investigation Shows Client Could Not Have Committed the Crime

A client facing felony theft allegations was accused of using stolen credit cards to make multiple purchases. Attorney Justin Kalemkiarian investigated the case and obtained work records showing the client could not have been the person responsible.

After reviewing the defense's findings, the prosecutor dismissed the case.

Case results depend on the specific facts of each case. No result guarantees or predicts a similar outcome in any future matter.
